Remedial exercises are for you to do at home after a massage or if you are feeling tight and sore. Following your massage treatment, you will receive complementary advice on remedial exercises to address imbalances and weaknesses in problem areas.
Remedial exercises are activities aimed at correcting movement patterns, improving posture, enhancing mobility and reducing the risk of injury. Such exercises target areas of the body that are weak, tight or are impaired due to poor posture, muscle imbalances or previous injuries.
Remedial exercises will be suggested depending on your individual needs and goals. They involve a combination of stretching, strengthening, mobilisation and stability exercises. An example would be someone who has poor posture may benefit from exercises that target the upper back and shoulders and stretches that release the tight muscle in chest and neck.
